Entry Portal
Before using WildInfoNet you will need to know about browser specifics, mapping command buttons and download speeds. In addition, new users can get more information or take a tour (see below) before entering the WildInfoNet Portal.
Cautions before using the WildInfoNet map server.
- Slow downloads. Because of the large amount of data transferred to your screen following a command request, WildInfoNet is necessarily SLOW. Expect to wait a minute or more for a map to draw. Take some deep breaths and think how long it would take you to draw the map from scratch.
- Browser problems. Browser compatibility is still a problem. WildInfoNet is optimized for Netscape 4.7 but should function properly on Internet Explorer 5. If you have any problems, please contact us.
